well done sydney.....we were not there but they did not seem to get a great write up....congrats though!
WAT THE. how is this possible. sydney was the worst. it was oxford. what. i just dont understand this.
Weird.
haha welcome to everyone's world after Ottawa won in Malaysia...
What the hell??
Just goes to show:
You might need to rethink the way you look at debates.
From your write-up it sounds like they were the worst team in the final.
You clearly missed a lot of important things that they (Sydney G) said.
Yes slag off the person who has selflessly updated all of us who didn't go.
Jens thank you very much not only for prodcing this blog but also switching to English! We are truely grateful for your time and energy. Enjoy the rest of your Vancouver trip.
Yeah, a big hand for Jens - you've been fabulous.
I agree with an earlier comment. Sydney G seemed to me to be one of the weakest teams in the room. I would have bet anything on Oxford.
ok. about sydney g. how people said they were saying the best things. in my opinion, i dont know about everyone else, you can say all the great things in the world and your delivery can be crap and it just doesn't stay with people who are watching. i think that in debate, it's not just what you say but how you say it, and i regret to say that sydney just didn't say it right.
