We are going back to the Sheraton now and will get back to you - interest is massive around the globe, apparently.

You are absolutely right. People all over the world are reading your every word.

(Even here in New Zealand on a sunny afternoon.)

Great work - thanks so much for the updates.

I hope you don't mind but I've posted one of your pics on my blog (Freedom to Differ).

Sad to hear people think QLD were outclassed... I really wanted them to win - be nice to see the wee fishes do it :-)

…and here in Scotland in the middle of a winter’s night. It has been ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT – next best thing to being there – esp as I can picture / hear 4 of the speakers in my head, plus Kiwi Claire and I have been chatting across the world in the minutes betw blogs. Unfortunately now have to go to bed as man is coming to service boiler early in morning :-( Huge thanks to our new German friends - you deserve many many drinks! Go Will and the Saltire and Bob-the-world’s-best-tabmaster!
Best wishes to all

I am hoping Qld as the underdogs win too but it is not sounding good from this commentary

How are Qland underdogs? Erin has been debating for ages and won EUROS! it is her right? i would have thought sydney were underdogs.....are those two not unknown?

I've painfully learned never to underestimate Sydney, no matter who's debating for them, known or unknown.

I would say so. Of all the Sydney teams, you'd have got very good money on those two making the final (which is, I guess, why they were Sydney G). Julia made the quarters at Australs in 2005. Anna has broken to octos at Worlds before (in Malaysia I think).

Yes that is the Erin who won Euros.
